Announcement: Please note that due to the Covid-19 pandemic and following recent Government advice, Buckfast Abbey Conference Centre and Northgate House Hotel bookings are to be cancelled, refunding any deposits paid. We are not taking any further bookings at this time. We appreciate you may wish to postpone to a later date, but at this stage, we cannot accept any new bookings. Once it appears we have got past the peak of the effects of the virus, we would be delighted to assist you with re-booking.

Given the large number of visitors to Buckfast Abbey it is considered responsible to close the shops, exhibitions, toilets and catering facilities on the site for the foreseeable future. There will be very limited toilet facilities and an attendant will be present to sanitise. The grounds, car park and gardens remain open but visitors enter these at their own risk and are reminded to keep “social distancing” from others. The First Aid facilities will not be staffed.

The Abbey Church will currently remain open, particularly for private prayer. Please check the Abbey’s Facebook page for further updates.

Flexible Rooms to meet your needs

With a selection of fully equipped, flexible rooms, lots of outside space and ample free car parking. Currently there are 6 fully equipped meeting rooms for groups of up to 85 people. Our largest room is currently subject to extensive exciting refurbishments and will host up to 120 delegates, due to be ready autumn 2020. All rooms are accessible for disabled users.

Fresh Food With a View

Our freshly prepared catering is served in a dining room overlooking the Abbey and gardens, a superb environment to refresh your delegates. We offer a 2 course hot & cold fork buffet, all prepared daily using seasonal, local ingredients. Download sample menu here? Directions
From the A38 Plymouth to Exeter expressway, take the Dart Bridge turn off and follow the brown directional signs to Buckfast Abbey, turning right at the Dart Bridge roundabout into Buckfast Road. Follow the road to the mini roundabout and take first exit – the main Abbey car park is to your right; go past this, continuing up the hill and take the next right turn. Follow this road on towards a T-junction and turn right at small village green. Follow signs for Conference Centre.

Pickup/Drop off
Very accessible by many types of vehicle including loading vans and coaches. Coaches would have to use main Abbey car park.
