Community Bee Keeping Days

Various Dates

These informal afternoons will include some bee keeping and some gardening. It’s free and everyone is welcome either on a regular basis or as a one-off visit. We meet twice a month on Saturdays and Mondays between 1.30 pm and around 5pm. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult, but dogs may get stung so, it’s best to leave them at home. Bee suits and gloves are provided but bring your own wellies.

We meet at the Bee Barn at 1.30pm on the following dates:

April: Saturday 20th

May: Monday 6th; Saturday 18th

June: Monday 3rd; Saturday 15th

July: Monday 8th; Saturday 20th

August: Monday 5th; Saturday 17th

September: Monday 2nd; Saturday 14th.

You don’t have to book, but if you haven’t been before it’s best to email Clare first so that she can send you directions to our bee barn (it’s not on the main part of the Abbey site and a post code won’t help!)

If the weather isn’t nice enough for us to open hives or do any gardening, we can still meet in the barn for tea and chat, alongside sharing other bee related or gardening jobs!
