We celebrated the 100th anniversary since the statue of Our Lady was installed in the Abbey Church’s Lady Chapel. To commemorate her remarkable translation, we’ve published a small booklet on the history of the statue, with original photographs dating back to the early 1900s. Learn more about the statue of Our Lady by picking up a copy of the new booklet for just £0.50 from the Abbey Bookshop or in the Abbey Church. This booklet: The story of Our Lady’s statue in Buckfast Abbey explains why the Blessed Virgin Mary is so important for Catholics and tells the remarkable story of our statue which can be found in the Abbey’s Lady Chapel.
