Service Times

Service Times at Buckfast Abbey and Parish

The monks celebrate the Divine Office and Mass together each day in the Abbey Church. All of these services are open to the public.

Besides being the monastic community’s church, Buckfast Abbey is a parish church within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Plymouth. The parish is in the care of the monks and parish Masses are celebrated in three Mass centres in neighbouring villages in addition to those in the Abbey itself.Below are listed both the monastic services and the parish services in the Abbey and the Mass centres. Occasionally, times of services are changed because of special circumstances and there are particular timetables at Christmas and Easter, so you may like to check the 'What's On' page for details of changes if you are thinking of attending, particularly if you have to travel some distance.
