Lauridsen and Britten

Saturday 31st October, 19:30

Works by Morten Lauridsen and Benjamin Britten form the basis of Collati’s Autumn concert. Lauridsen’s Lux æterna, a setting of words from the Requiem Mass, is paired with Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb, a cantata setting Christopher Smart’s exuberant poem, which praises God through imagery drawn from animals, letters of the alphabet and musical instruments.
