May Half Term Week 2026
This year we have activities galore for the May Half Term Week, all leading up to the popular Food Festival on 29th & 30th . As well as everything listed below there will be Ice Cream from the whippy truck, Cyclone Bike make your own smoothie, Craft Tent, Scavenger Hunt, Giant Games and Face Painting all week. Plus Sporty Stars Inflatables on the leat lawn for Wednesday-Saturday.
A Circus Skills Workshop will be available on the Schiller Lawn between 10:00 to 15:00.
There’s no need to book, just come along and be adventurous.
We are delighted to welcome Julian from Brick Ideas back for another popular LEGO Fun Day here at Buckfast Abbey.
Book into one of our LEGO building sessions for just £2.50 per person (please be sure to book for all your party, adults and children). Sessions will be running from 10.00am – 12.30pm and 1.30pm – 4.00pm. Help us build the Abbey in Lego or make your own creations! Spaces are limited so make sure you BOOK YOUR PLACES NOW!
This event will be happening in our Schiller Hall, St Cuthbert’s Conference Centre.

Suitable for ages 3+. Adults must stay with their children.
Join us for a Willow Weaving Workshop with one of Buckfast Abbey’s lead gardeners. £10pp
Learn how to make a willow obelisk plant support. All materials and tuition is included and no experience necessary.
We will run 4 sessions throughout the day at the following times:
10:00 – 11:00, 11:00 – 12:00, 13:00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 15:00
