Handel wrote the beloved masterpiece Messiah in just twenty-four days in 1741. Its three parts centre on prophecies foretelling Christ’s birth; his passion, death, resurrection and ascension; and humanity’s redemption. The Abbey Choir and soloists are joined by Noxwode to bring to life this sacred masterpiece, one of the best-known works in Western music, perfectly suited to the festive season.
