Our Christmas programme will be running from the 27th November to 15th December 2023

'Open up Advent' with our box of craft resources, designed to capture this season of hope and joy.

We will send you a box filled with advent themed crafts and activities for your class to complete in school. Each activity will help your pupils explore and engage with this important time of waiting.

Alongside the box, schools can access our online workshops, where craft activities are explained and reflective storytelling and guided mindfulness encourage moments of calm, during what can be a hectic time for schools.

£4.00 per pupil.

Saint Nicholas Day

Based on the traditions of St Nicholas (from whom we get the modern idea of Santa Claus) this day explores the importance of giving at Christmas. Pupils will take part in workshops that will centre around the idea of giving, finishing the day with a celebration in the Abbey Church.

Bring your pupils to Buckfast Abbey to celebrate Christmas with one of our themed days. Each day consists of three workshops.

Angel Day:
An imaginative retelling of the Christmas story, angel craft workshop and ‘Angel Trail’ – a self-led interactive tour around the church.

£3.00 per pupil.

Nativity Day:
An imaginative retelling of the Christmas story, stained glass craft workshop and ‘Jesus, Mary and Joseph Trail’ – a self-led interactive tour around the church.

‘The Astronomers Tale’ – an imaginative retelling of the Christmas story, Three Kings craft workshop and ‘Treasures Trail’ – a self-led interactive tour around the church.
